- SCW Project Management: Beyond just install
Why a better process and national scale enables us to do exceed expectations where local installers struggle.
There’s tons of companies that provide installation of security devices, but not a lot that do it the way that we do. We strive to provide our clients the best installation experience they’ve ever had - and we don’t just mean when it comes to security cameras. We want to be one of the best experiences, period.
What makes us so different? Well, we’re happy to let you know! Let’s talk about how SCW’s project management is truly world class.
Many providers start with the site visit, but this is the wrong approach - wasting half your day walking around your property. We're your partner, and as such, we're here to makes sure that we’re solving the correct problems, not just "checking the box" or providing security theater. By starting with a 5-minute phone or video consultation, we can understand your security and operational use cases.
Our specialists will design a customized system and define a project scope of work targeting your needs. Using google earth or any provided floorplans, they can create custom coverage maps to help you easily see how the proposed solution will benefit you.
SCW’s installation services project management team is not like most other local installers.
Many of our customers love that they can choose to install it themselves or use a professional. There are advantages to choosing a local provider and those advantages stop if you have multiple locations in different cities or states across the country.
If you have more than 1 location in different areas, then you’ll have to source labor from two or more different organizations, mainly due to the licensing issues. Vetting partners and managing projects in different states is just difficult. We have dedicated PMs whose sole job is to manage the implementation of your surveillance and access control projects across the country.
Many organizations need professional installation, and so they turn to defining their needs in the form of a RFP (request for proposal). In which, they define their scope of work based on what is most important to their organization.
This helps identify specific hardware specs that can meet those exact needs, but it still can be difficult ensuring that you are comparing the hardware in an apples-to-apples fashion. Most importantly, this can sometimes result in different hardware manufacturers that just don’t integrate together well. Hardware fragmentation can result in executive and managerial staff at the home office having to juggle many individual services and logins, users often lose track of how to operate all the different software iterations, and IT can struggle with setting up and maintaining all the different methods of remote access in a cyber secure manner.
We have the ability to source all three bids for you to eliminate the hardware fragmentation factor when it comes to decision making time. We can source multiple bids for the same installation project by getting three different quotes for the installation process, but without adding the complexity of trying to figure out how you are going to get hardware manufacturer A to play nice with hardware manufacturer B.
Additionally, we can meet those 3 bid requirements in a much more timely and less costly manner because we don’t have to collect information about your use cases and organizational goals multiple times.
We offer a single dedicated POC to oversee the implementation phase of your security rollout / upgrade. We can work with you to identify, minimize, and solve any potential roadblocks or obstructions before and during the install. SCW’s Project Managers handle managing the subcontracted technicians, any internal communication with the client's IT staff related to system deployment, potential change orders, and quality assurance through project deliverables
